Maravuri Furniture Private Limited makes premium seasoned-teak furniture in its own workshop in Jepara, Indonesia, and holds it in stock in Chennai — so buyers across India get genuine Indonesian quality at wholesale pricing, without a container, customs, or the wait.
The Beginning
From a workshop in Jepara
Our story begins in Jepara, Central Java — a region long recognised as one of Indonesia’s foremost centres for teak furniture and carving. Since 2015, we have manufactured there in our own facility, choosing premium teak, seasoning it properly, and crafting each piece by hand rather than buying finished goods from brokers.
The furniture was worth the journey, but the journey was punishing for buyers in India — large quantities, advance payments sent overseas, customs, and long waits for a container to clear. Good work deserves an easier path to the people who value it.
So in 2025 we established Maravuri Furniture Private Limited in India and did the thing few importers do for smaller buyers: we bring the furniture in ourselves and hold it in stock in Chennai. One company now runs the full chain — made in Jepara, stocked and sold in Chennai, supplied across India — so you buy premium Indonesian teak without becoming an importer.

The Atelier
Where patience becomes permanence
Our atelier is part workshop, part studio and part classroom. Designers sketch beside carvers; apprentices learn the chisel from masters who learned it from their fathers. Every plank is selected by hand, seasoned for stability, and worked until the grain tells you it is ready.
We keep our craft close, our wood honest and our promise simple: build it as if it were going into our own home.
